Meet the artist:

Hello, my name is Mariah Fogt! I started Mississippi Moon at the beginning of 2020 as a hobby Etsy shop, but wasn't really sure how far I would take it. After becoming a mom in 2022, I had a whole new reason and motivation to grow my business as far as possible for my son - to be able to spend more time with him. I am a self taught silversmith and enjoy growing with this craft with each new piece I create. 

Your jewelry pieces are carefully handcrafted at my home studio in the beautiful Driftless Area of NE Iowa — That’s where the name Mississippi Moon was inspired from. Being born and raised in the raw beauty of this area inspires my jewelry making. I take pride in the quality and craftsmanship and strive for perfection (it’s the Virgo in me). Because of the handmade nature of my jewelry as well as the use of unique and natural stones, you are sure to have pieces that are unique to you!
